Mahou Shoujo Ore: Demons’ Boss

Hyoue vs The Manager

For obvious reasons, I have always been inclined to believe that Hyoue is the Demons’ Boss, but it has been pointed out that Hyoue might not be the one because of those same obvious reasons. It has been suggested that it’s the Manager. Now, at first I was hesitant to suspect him, but idk anymore with the latest episode lol I would like to know what others think, so I created a survey. Please feel free to participate!   (´ ∀ ` *)

I’m not sure how far the manga is or if the Demons’ Boss identity has already been revealed, but please be considerate of others when commenting. Please do not post any spoilers.

Yoshiki Nakajima: Toma Kiriya (Irresistible Mistakes), Yamato Higa (Amai Choubatsu),

& Nitta (Hinamatsuri) share the same VA!!!

…and it actually took me a while to finally realize this lmfao

All it took was a tweet from sensei to finally put the pieces together lol A few weeks ago Izumi Show tweeted how “Nitta from Hinamatsuri is cool” and then she replied to her tweet saying how “She was inspired by him when she drew Yamato (Same Voice)”

Okay, at this point I was already mind-blown because I’m also watching Hinamatsuri and love Nitta (his voice is so soothing, like omg I’m in love!) but I had no idea it was the same VA (you can’t blame me lol Yamato hadn’t really talked much in the early episodes) Also, check this out: The heroines from Hinamatsuri and Amai Choubatsu share the same name: Hina. They both have a protector who is a yakuza…like OMG!

Anyways, when I saw the 2nd tweet from Izumi Show about how they were the same VA I immediately went to confirm the seiyuu’s name which is Yoshiki Nakajima. His picture looked so damn familiar, but I couldn’t tell from where I had seen it before. The first thing that came to my mind was “Drama CDs” since his voice is so nice, so thirsty ass hoe me searched his name in my tumblr to see if I had posted any of his works and I almost died! Why? Because I did find a post. It was of the time when I was desperately looking for Toma Kiriya’s VA & the time I finally got the answerSo here I am still mind-blown that two of my favorite husbands share the same VA lol

Although I had seen his name many times because of the Amai Choubatsu posts, his name didn’t ring a bell. lol

Sadly, it was his photo and not his name that I recognized. mainly because he doesn’t have many roles I guess   It’s also funny because I had seen the Amai Choubatsu 1st Nico Live where he makes an appearance and I didn’t recognize him either hahah In my defense, he looks so damn different from his photo vs how he looked there. (It’s the hair)

I’m really happy that he seems to be having more roles now compared to back then. When I searched for him some time ago while I was looking for Toma’s VA, I couldn’t really find info about him. His voice is amazing and sexy, so he definitely needs more roles, I wish him the best!

Now that I have this off my chest, I hope you’re as mindblown as I am~

Spoilers from Uchuu Senkan Tiramisu episode 6. Please read at your own risk.

I’m kinda sad that the guy in the cover with Subaru is actually his brother lmfao I thought maybe…just maybe there would be some BL moments there probably will be though 😂 My fault though because I should have read the character profiles! haha

I can’t believe he was actually “Cody” though. I also shipped Cody with Subaru! lol I should have seen this coming on last week’s episode where for some reason we couldn’t see his brother’s face in the flashback just like we don’t see Cody’s. Although this time it was a given because in the flashback the brother is wearing a cap which makes him look a lot like Cody lol

Top 5:

1st place ended with a tie between Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi and Mahou Shoujo Ore. After some thinking, I realized that I wasn’t giving a proper rank to Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi. I found myself really enjoying it so far, so I believe it deserves 1st place. Mahou Shoujo Ore ranking 1st is no surprise anymore as this anime is super fun. I love it! lol

I couldn’t decide which one I liked better so 2nd place also ended in a tie between Caligula and Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu: Die Neue These.

Caligula defended its ranking from week 2. All this psychological stuff interests me so I can see it ranking at the top each week. Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu: Die Neue These on the other hand is the type of anime you can’t help but be drawn to it as the dialogue and music are intense. Like all they did was talk but I was like “OMG!” That and all the Ikemen lol

Mahou Shoujo Site is slowly rising to the top. Tbh I didn’t have high hopes for this one as this type of anime can either go one of two ways, usually being bad. Surprisingly, it’s proven to be a good show for me. It’s really disturbing and I love it.

WotaKoi dropped from 1st place to 4th. While I enjoyed the episode and have no complaints, I felt the 1st episode was much more enjoyable.

Persona 5, which tied last week with WotaKoi also dropped from 1st to 5th place. I enjoy it, but I guess I expected a little too much from it. lol

I’ve been trying to root out some shows from my list which proved to be a little difficult because this season has some good anime, but I finally found one: Devils Line. Maybe the manga is better, maybe I’m giving up to early, idk but I forced myself to even watch ep. 3. It’s rare of me to say I dislike a heroine, but gosh I really, really dislike Tsukasa. I usually don’t complain about pacing either, but the pacing feels rushed. Sadly, not even the perverted side of me can save this one from being dropped, and that tells you a lot.

  • = Excited for; has a higher chance of not being dropped
  • Color Coded = The day of the week when the anime airs

Shiro’s “promise” to Oodanna, is there more to it?

Aoi was disappointed to find out that her dear grandfather had used her as collateral for his loan and promised her as a bride to Oodanna. Was her grandpa really an asshole or is there more to the story than what Oodanna revealed?

May contain spoilers from episodes 1-3. Please read at your own risk.

Yes, we know that Shiro, Aoi’s grandpa, was a little wild, but from the little that we’ve seen of him, he seemed to care about her. I don’t think he would offer her like that just because.

It seems to me that Shiro didn’t die just because of an accident, I think he may have been murdered by an Ayakashi instead. We already know that both Shiro and Aoi possess strong spiritual power, so I wouldn’t doubt if there were some Ayakashi who were after their lives. There’s also what Aoi said in ep. 2 when she was talking to Matsuba-sama: “It’s true that he was old, but he fell on the stairs and was taken to the hospital. Death can come so suddenly, huh?”

He was old, but not old enough to die.

It may not mean anything, but could there be more to his death than what we think?

Another thing to note is that Shiro taught Aoi how to cook dishes that would be liked by Ayakashi. We have this conversation Aoi and Matsuba-sama had in ep.2:

Aoi: “I guess the tastes he liked and what Ayakashis like are similar.”

Matsuba-sama: “That’s strange.”

Aoi: “What?”

Matsuba-sama: “He used to say that the hidden realm food was too bland to eat.”

Why would Shiro go out of his way to teach Aoi how to cook dishes that would be liked by Ayakashi if he didn’t like the food himself? I think it’s obvious that there’s more to it. He may have specifically taught Aoi to make dishes that would be liked by Ayakashi for her to avoid getting eaten and to gain the favor of the Ayakashi that eat her food. I don’t think Shiro’s tastes changed as he got older and I don’t think it was a coincidence.

I think Shiro knew that their lives were in danger and he asked Oodanna to take care of Aoi in case he died. However, even if she was the granddaughter of Shiro, who was respected and liked by many Ayakashi, it was possible that there would be those opposed to having Aoi in the hidden realm or have her protected by Oodanna. The best way to protect Aoi would then be for her to be the “Ogre’s bride”, the best way for Aoi to gain allies would be through her food.

So is there more to Shiro’s “promise” to Oodanna? I think so.

Ginji vs Oodanna, who helped young Aoi?

My guess: Ginji

May contain spoilers from the anime. Please read at your own risk.

The idea that Ginji might be the Ayakashi or might know something about the Ayakashi that helped Aoi as a child came to mind since ep. 1. If I recall correctly, Ginji’s expression changed for a second when Aoi spoke about that Ayakashi. Nothing was mentioned after that, so I decided to not think too much about it at the moment.

However, that idea came to mind once more in ep. 3 when Ginji told Aoi that she liked curry & rice. At first, it didn’t seem like that big of a deal. I said to myself “hmm I don’t remember Aoi telling him that???” and while I was doubting myself if I had forgotten that piece of info from the previous episodes, Aoi’s reaction after that event had me screaming. After Ginji left, Aoi started saying to herself how Ginji was of great help, but then stopped as she realized something: Ginji knew she liked curry and rice? There’s one reason I can think of why she would have that reaction and that would be because he knows a detail about her that she hadn’t told him. I feel that pretty much confirmed it for me.

Here’s what we know:

  • Ginji’s expression changed in ep. 1 when that Ayakashi was mentioned
  • He knows Aoi likes curry & rice, a detail he shouldn’t have known(?)
  • He is always looking out for Aoi, that Ayakashi looked out for her/cared about her and saved her
  • He can change his form, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he was that Ayakashi

Of course, just like others have mentioned, there’s always the possibility that it was someone else and that they told Ginji. That would also explain how he knows that information. Could that person be Oodanna or maybe Ginji’s mother? None of the above?

I can’t however, agree to the theory that Ginji knows the identity of the Ayakashi and wants Aoi to believe it was him because he wants to steal Aoi from Oodanna. I don’t believe Ginji is that kind of person and I would honestly be shocked if he was some kind of villain. He is like the most precious boy ever, so yeah.

Update: 2018.07.09

I’ve watched up to episode 15 and I’m still a firm believer that the Ayakashi is Ginji. It’s been heavily implied, but it has not been either confirmed or denied though.

There were times when the thought of the possibility that it was not Ginji crossed my mind. For example, one specific line that has always been bugging me is: “We will certainly meet again when you become an adult.” Why would Ginji and Aoi meet again, specifically when she’s an adult? It would make more sense if that Ayakashi was Oodanna since Aoi was promised to marry him after all.

Other than that everything points towards Ginji, but it may be nothing more than an illusion. Keyword: Illusion. A specific word in the new OP that caught my attention when they showed Ginji, as Ginji has the ability to deceive since he can shape shift. At some point in time I did say that it could have possibly been Ginji’s mother (Because that ayakashi seemed to be a woman and the hair color resembled Ginji’s) Another thought that has previously crossed my mind is that Ginji had a “mentor” and that he was the one who helped Aoi. This ayakashi is probably no longer alive and thus why Ginji makes a grim/sad expression when it comes to that ayakashi. It would make sense if that mentor left that mask to Ginji and thus Ginji is now filling the role of that “savior” ayakashi aka deceiving. (doesnt have to be for a bad reason though)  Either way, I can say that the identity of that Ayakashi is closely related to Ginji based on many scenes, dialogue and even the openings. (Another reason why I don’t think it’s Oodanna)

Take a look at this sequence though. I feel that the light represents the apparent realm to where Ginji crossed to help Aoi. When he turns around he puts on the mask and then the appearance changes to the one that helped Aoi, which heavily implies that it’s the same person. We know that Ginji’s power/aura/flame is blue and the ayakashi disappears with it:

Liesl’s Spring 2018 Anime Ranking: Week 2

Posting this a little later than usual because I was busy with school, but just as I predicted, the new ones that aired on week 2 took the top ranks. • Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Happy Kiss!: It’s fun, but not for me. (DROPPED)
